Las Vegas is “the place to be” at any given moment of time and Ovation's Properties conveniently sit all around the action.  Summers in Vegas are amazing and religiously receive relentless praises, gearing most marketing towards the warmer touristy season.  Well, the holidays are no different.  Las Vegas offers some of the most exciting, romantic, fun and cultural events this 2014 holiday season.  Whether you are looking to give back through charity, hang with the gals, chill-out with the guys or spend the holidays as a family, Las Vegas has an event for you.
 
On December 14, 2014, the New Song Church (702-492-1771) will host a live Christmas Concert at 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:00 p.m. The cost of the ticket is $18 for adults and $10 ages 12 or younger in advance or $22 for adults and $12 for ages 12 or younger at the door. If you are also feeling altruistic, the church also seeks donations of gently used children’s clothing, gift cards, toiletries and more. The proceeds of this event benefit the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth making it a win-win.
 
On December 17, 2014, the District at Green Valley Ranch’s “Chanukah in the District Menorah Lighting Ceremony” will begin at 6:30 pm in the facility’s gazebo.  This free family event provides entertainment, dreidels, donuts and chocolate gelt for this ceremonious occasion.
 
For children, the Charleston Heights Arts Center will host a Craft Workshop for kids 7 and older on December 13, 2014.  This workshop focuses on creating ornate decorative sculptural objects inspired by the winter season, including an origami globe and beaded 3-D snowflakes.  These activities are stimulating and creative designed as a fun and productive activity for young ones.  The price for admission is $26.
 
For those looking for cultural entertainment, the Winchester Cultural Center will host its 14th annual holiday recital titled “Winchester Star Catchers” on December 12th.  The Star Catchers Dance Program began in 2002.  Star Catchers is made up of dancers who agree to work hard, be disciplined and maintain clean and clear lifestyles free from violence, drugs and alcohol promoting positivity within the community.  This event is set to begin at 6:00 pm and has a $7.00 admission fee.  The Las Vegas Natural History Museum will host its December to Remember: Cultural Fashion Show on December 13th flaunting fashion finds from various demographics and cultures.
 
For adults, the Bellagio’s atmosphere alone will intensify one’s holiday spirit.  There isn’t a more romantic way to spend Christmas day than watching the dancing fountains in front of the Bellagio.  The spectacular, yet free, fountain water show is performed to Christmas music.  While you are there, step inside the Bellagio and witness the most exquisite Christmas set-up in all of Vegas.   Regardless of your particular taste this season, Vegas’ well-equipped roster of events within the city limits and along Vegas’ outskirts will keep you busy and satisfied from Thanksgiving to New Years.
